The Sound of Silence
In this piece, the ‘Prince of Darkness’ emerges from the shadows not through his face, but through his gesture. ‘Trumpless’ is a radical choice: removing the instrument to focus on the intention.
The sharp contrast between the black background and the light hitting his fingers reflects the duality of his music: silent pauses and sharp attacks. This artwork was selected by historian Guido Michelone for the cover of his book “Una carezza sulle ali”.
